How do we get started?
Go to the BOOKING PAGE and fill out your information to set up an appointment. You can also email me @ email@example.com. If your date and time is available we can then set up a time to talk about your special day. If you are out of town we can talk over the phone or via skype. If you decide that we are a fit and once we get to know each other then we will design a personalized ceremony for you. There will be a deposit of $100 to reserve the date on my calendar.
How much do you charge?
My fee for a local wedding is $600 total (includes deposit) If your wedding is further away it may be more depending on distance.
Do you require premarital counseling?
Premarital counseling is a great way to get to know your fiance better and to communicate about certain topics that you might not otherwise. I don't require premarital counseling but I think it's a GREAT idea. I do offer premarital counseling that is a 6 week course. The materials are $60 per couple. My fee is $100 per session where I will meet with you for an hour each session and help you unpack all you learned during each week. The premarital materials that I use are called "Two Becoming One" and this is a great way to help you prepare for marriage.
Do you come to the rehearsal?
I will not be able to come to all rehearsals. Wedding coordinators are sufficient to help you through the coordination of the ceremony. You will already have an outline from me by this time. If you want me to be at your rehearsal, I would be willing to run it for an extra fee of $150.
How long is the typical ceremony?
15-20 minutes. If you desire to have additional things like readings, songs, communion, unity candles etc. it will take a little longer but never longer than 30 minutes. The ceremony won't be too long where your guests are checking their watches to see when the cocktail hour starts but long enough to be personable, meaningful and to fit exactly what you want.
Do you do weddings outside of Orange County?
Yes. I do charge an extra fee for travel time and expenses usually around $100-$200.
Are you a licensed minister and do you work at a church?
Yes. I'm a licensed minister and I've been on staff at The Shoreline Church of San Clemente for over 10 years.
